Thousands of Dollars of Scholarships Available
2008 – 2010 finds even more federal dollars allocated toward scholarships for persons with disabilities. If you do not work for an agency funded by DOR or the SILC, and you want to attend a conference or training to help you advocate for disability rights, please apply for this funding.
The efforts of the SILC are more effective when more people with disabilities in the community participate. This is especially true when these people are educated and informed. By attending SILC meetings and giving testimony, you make the SILC more representative of your concerns.
