Teddie-Joy Remhild

Teddie-Joy RemhildTeddie-Joy Remhild is the Chair of the State Independent Living Council.

She also serves as an appointed member to the Olmstead Advisory Committee, the California Community Choices Advisory Committee, the California Community Transitions Advisory Committee, and the California Health Incentives Improvement Project Steering Committee.

In December 2008, Teddie-Joy retired from the Personal Assistance Services Council (PASC), Public Authority for Los Angeles County In-home Supportive Services where she served as a Program Administrator of Community and Consumer Programs. For the past eight years, she was responsible for providing outreach, community services, and training to people with disabilities and seniors.

Teddie-Joy has an extensive background focused on disability and aging advocacy and program administration. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California.
