Eva Lopez
Eva Lopez is the Deputy Director of Adult Programs Division at the California Department of Social Services and the Ex-Officio representative for the Department of Social Services Director, John Wagner.
Ms. Lopez has over 27 years of local and state government experience specifically in the Social Services programs. In her current role she is responsible for the development and implementation of policies, and procedures for the management and operations of the Adult Protective Services (APS), Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI), Supplemental Security Income/State Supplemental Payment (SSI/SSP) Program and In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program. IHSS is a program which provides assistance to over 421,000 eligible aged and disabled persons allowing them to remain in their own homes instead of entering out-of-home care (such as a nursing home or assisted living).
Ms. Lopez is also responsible for the administration and oversight of 52 Public Authorities and the automated system which provides for the case management and payroll for over 330, 000 IHSS Providers. This system is responsible for processing over 700,000 timesheets per month. Over the years, Ms. Lopez has been establishing and maintaining good working relationships with federal and state administrative and legislative entities, local government officials, advocate groups and unions.
